Much has been said in the recent days about the evils of America outsourcing its white collar jobs to offshore destinations. And most of us blame
the American companies for America outsourcing. But are the American companies that outsource really to blame?
If we look at the root causes of outsourcing it comes down to the fact that companies outsource in order to cut costs, give better customer service and retain customers. This makes things clear as crystal that companies outsource because the customers need better services at cheaper rates. An average customer in the US is sure to prefer buying cheaper services from a company that outsourcers rather than buying a costlier service from a company that doesn't. So it all comes down to blaming the US customers rather than the corporations. Terming corporations as greedy would not be a correct way to judge things.

The future trends in it outsourcing seems to be for knowledge based high end services. Most companies in off-shore destinations are getting ready to provide such services by improving their infrastructure and facilities. Business outsourcing services to offshore destinations is considered risky by some companies who plan to set up counterparts or back-up operations in nearby destinations. Offshore outsourcing companys feel that doing so will help them continue operations with out any kind of hold-ups and in turn even shift entire operations to near shore destinations as time becomes favorable.
