Outsourcing history

What is Edi outsourcing?

Edi outsourcing involves shifting of functions related to EDI software, EDI staff, and EDI VAN to a third party, in which the third party
gets complete control over the EDI process. Most companies outsource their entire EDI operations that include data transformation and vendor management.

EDI outsourcing allows a company to concentrate on its core competencies by lower its investment in EDI functions. The need for maintaining a separate EDI department is eliminated as the entire EDI process is outsourced to a company having expertise and experience in that field. This allows the company to get quality EDI management without compromising on any aspect. This also allows the existing vendors to send and receive data using existing EDI software without interruptions of any kind. Thus EDI outsourcing is a great way to make maximum use of resources and increase productivity.

Offshore outsourcing solutions such as EDI and other electronic data processing and managing are on the rise currently but sharp changes are expected in the future. This will happen with newer and better technologies give way to the outdated ones. But only time can tell as to how things will shape.
